For 15 years, ventura design on time has been one of the leading protagonists of contemporary watch design. Together with outstanding designers and architects, ventura has designed and produced watches which are already deemed "classics" of modern product design. Leading museums with design departments, such as the Museum of Modern Art New York, the Chicago Athenaum, Museum for Architecture, the staatliches Museum fur angewandte Kunst in Munich (Die neue Sammlung), the Musee de l'Emaillerie et de l'Horlogerie in Geneva and numerous other institutes have ventura watches in their permanent collections.

For his current v-matic chronometer collection, Wettstein takes on elements of the classical measuring instrument, which he greatly reduces and uses formally. The v-matic has been awarded numerous international prizes; amongst others, it was given the award "Best of Best 1995" of the Essen Design Centre North Rhine Westphalia, the '95 prize of the Chicago Athenaum Museum of Architecture, a recognition in the "Longevity" 97/98 competition of Stuttgart Design Centre, two innovation prizes in 2000 and 2001 of the renowned trade magazine CHRONOS, to name but the most important ones.

Challenged by the principle according to which good design is based on functionality, i.e. therefore also on the production quality, ventura aims for high watch-making competence. As one of the world's greatest manufacturers of officially certified chronometers (C.O.S.C.), ventura not only leaves much better known brands with measurable successes behind it, it is also one of the very few brands which has its entire production of mechanical watches certified.

ventura can also look back on extraordinary performances in the field of technical innovation. For example, the prize-winning SPARC fx watch is the first automatic digital watch in the world.

In addition, ventura is the only provider of watches from hardened and thus extremely scratch-proof titanium. Do not get confused by the misleading advertising of our competitors: normal, unhardened titanium is softer than steel and easy to scratch!
