More than ten years ago, Gianni Versace launched its first watch collection and at the time, watches and jewellery were merely considered by the Italian fashion industry as accessories. Step by step, through developing the highest quality products, the Versace branch, located in Switzerland, is regarded prominently as a very successful luxury business.

Conceived in a bold and contemporary spirit, the watch and jewellery collection is remarkably distinguished by geometric patterns, sharp contours and smooth polished surfaces. It acknowledges the dawning of the third millennium while carrying on the heritage of classical aesthetics and mythological allusion, standard to the House. It embraces the future with steadfast dedication to the Versace style: modern asymmetry combined with antique Grecian symbols, generous volumes expressed by noble metals, Medusa emblems next to polished surfaces. Within the same artistic spirit, Versace also proposes writing instruments.

At the 2001 Basel Fair, the brand launched coloured variations of the Character watch in a charming, fashionable and fancy style.
